About Onam

Onam is a joyous harvest festival celebrated in Kerala, India. It showcases Kerala's rich cultural heritage through vibrant rituals, such as the creation of floral carpets (Pookkalam), graceful Thiruvathira Kali dances, and exhilarating Games. The festival culminates in a grand vegetarian feast (Onam Sadya) served on banana leaves, where a variety of delicious dishes symbolize unity, abundance, and gratitude for the bountiful harvest.
