Onam is a vibrant harvest festival celebrated in Kerala, India, renowned for showcasing the region’s rich cultural traditions. The festivities include the creation of intricate floral designs (Pookkalam), elegant Thiruvathira Kali dances, and lively traditional games. The celebration reaches its peak with the grand Onam Sadya, a lavish vegetarian banquet served on banana leaves, where each dish represents unity, prosperity, and gratitude for the plentiful harvest.
